Meet our team
Parker Atlas Yaw
FOUNDER, AUTHOR, EDITOR
Parker (he/they) enjoys writing speculative fiction that includes found family, queer and disabled characters, and resonant narratives.
As an editor, Parker is drawn to immersive fantasy with strong emotions and an underdog.
KJ Hutchins
MARKETING MANAGER, WEBSITE COORDINATOR, DIRECTOR OF WHIMSY
KJ (they/them) is an aspiring singer/songwriter with the misfortune of being engaged to an author (<—-that guy). They were their fiancé’s first fan, and now they run social media accounts, manage marketing campaigns, and maintain the website for Orange Door Books.
Eleanor Yaw
IN-HOUSE THERAPIST, MARKETING ASSISTANT
Ella has two years of experience in emotional support and being cute, which are essential skills for her positions here at Orange Door Books. Her curiosity, softness, and effortless charm make her the MVP at our agency.
Do not let her anywhere near hard candies.
Bridget Yaw
EDITOR, BUSINESS CONSULTANT, BULLY
Bridget transcribed court documents before joining Orange Door Books, and she has a sharp eye for grammar, punctuation, and plot holes. An avid reader, she is drawn more to grounded, realistic narratives, but she has edited Parker's books for several years because she has to (she's his mom). She is always on the look for a good murder mystery or a true crime novel.
Ozymandias, King of Kings
CEO
Ozymandias— his friends affectionately call him ‘Ozy’— runs the agency with an iron paw, lounging on the nearest tall surface and demanding pets from his underlings. His interests are: belly rubs, head scratches, and being played like a furry bongo. In literature, he likes a good sword fight, lots of sarcasm, and heroes with a dark streak.
Phyllis Laymon
DEVELOPMENTAL EDITOR, ALPHA READER, ACCOUNTS CONSULTANT
Phyllis has years of experience in business and accounting, having run the books for several companies over the years. In literature, she enjoys a powerful voice, twists and turns, and emotional depth.
Lin Marco
DEVELOPMENTAL EDITOR, BETA READER
Lin worked at Cornell University as an administrative assistant before retiring to spend time with her family. Her passions are reading and jewelry-making, and her feedback on manuscripts is essential in our publication process.
